Informal BIO
I was born in Baltimore, and have not wandered far (yet).
I am a 'Jr.', and am 1 of 4 siblings and am also the happily married father of 4, and stepfather of 1.
(Here is a factoid not many can claim: My 4 children were each born in a different decade! 70's, 80's, 90's, and 00's!)
I attended a local Parochial school (St. Thomas Moore; which just celebrated it's 50th Anniversary in 2009) and then Calvert Hall High School. (Go Cards!)
I have lots of Industry training and a few Certifications, and have held multiple licenses for Insurance and Real Estate, but have not attended College (yet).
My passion for being self employed started in 1984 when I purchased the Parkville News Stand.
As an entrepreneur, I operated several successful businesses, primarily in the Retail and Service industries.
These however, were always just another way of 'trading time for dollars', and after an unsuccessful expansion of my Century Vending division in 1994, I was forced to close up shop and return to the Corporate world.
I joined the IOF Forresters as a Fraternal Insurance Agent and stayed with them until they closed their Maryland operations in 1998.
The Forresters offered a training benefit as part of my severance, so I studied Microsoft Technologies and became an I.T. Recruiter!
I spent about 1 year with Management Recruiters; 8-1/2 years with TEKsystems; and in May of 2009 joined Social Solutions as Recruiting Director.
I am also a student of Business and of eMarketing.
If you are looking to partner with someone who is dedicated to success, and willing to share what has been learned (the good, the bad, and the ugly!), then go to my Contact page and share your story with me.
In my spare time, I enjoy fellowship with my family and friends, golfing, fishing, reading, and all things related to the Internet and eBusiness!
